Phoebe McSweeney

Phoebe is the Artistic Director and founder of Afloat. Phoebe works with marginalised communities through creative programmes that promote social change. Phoebe supports communities to compose theatre and integrate it into individuals’ life’s, with the theatre having a base issue to educate. Phoebe works in community theatre and professional theatre that encourages empowerment, social change, and education.

Sonia Chapman

Co – Director

Sonia is a socially engaged theatre producer, focused on community engagement, inclusion and mental health. Alongside Afloat Theatre, Sonia has produced for All Things Considered since 2024. Sonia has worked with artists such as Izzie Major, Kaya Herstad-Carney, Joanne Tremarco, Jollyboat, Pop-up Opera, The Secret Circus and Collective Encounters.

George Jenkins

Co-Director

George Jenkins is a Musician & Producer. Since graduating LIPA in 2020 he has performed all around the UK, and played festivals in Europe and America with various projects. George is passionate about creating emotive pieces that reflect and enhance the narrative.
